Power and free conveyors consist of a double track, that is to say two runways made from suitably shaped sections welded to dedicated elements that hold them in the correct position. Combining straight track runs, horizontal and vertical curves and switches makes it possible to achieve the required layout.
The chain runs inside one runway and is fitted with drive dogs; the load-carrying trolleys travel in the other runway. While the chain is kept permanently in motion, the trolleys are engaged with or disengaged from the chain by dedicated devices controlled by the conveyor management system. In this way the motion of each trolley can be adapted to the specific requirement of every single stage of the process.
The use of switches makes it possible to route the trolleys along different paths, while the ability to accumulate the load carriers, packing them closely together, allows storage banks or buffers to be created, greatly reducing the floor area occupied.
The working environment temperature can reach 240°C.
Power and free conveyors in the inverted version need to be installed at floor level on simple supports. They can also be housed in a pit formed in the floor and, where necessary, suitably covered with steel plates, from which only the workpiece carrier protrudes.
Our inverted power and free conveyors are suitable for carrying loads of up to 30 kg in the basic version and up to 250 kg when a load-bearing trolley is used.
