Possibility
of working in particular critical atmospheres for example atmospheres
with dust and/or ovens at high temperature, thanks to the use of
both material and special ball-bearings for the chain.
Optimisation of the space use.
Operation without
automatic tension units, thanks to the chain that can work in compression.
|
|

|
|
Possibility to have horizontal bends with angles ranging from minimum
5 degrees to maximum 270 degrees and vertical bends with angles ranging
from 5 degrees to maximum 45 degrees because the chain is completely
bi-planer.
This allows to have bends with minimal radius without requiring the
use of idle wheels. Negligeable friction and therefore limited wear
of the rail components thanks to the uniform distribution of loads
between chain and rails. |
|
Limited wear and low noise level thanks to the contemporaneous unmatching
of driving dogs and trolley anti-backward dogs when trolleys are
in the buffer.
Excellent pull,
as to wear and life, thanks to the use of drive units caterpillar
type for the chains handling. Indeed the pull of the chain is always
made on its axis regardless it is achieved on spiders or on bushes
of bearings assembled on horizontal axis.
|
|
 |
 |
|
Reduced values of the pull torque and the reduction in the size of
the mechanical protection devices (safety coupling or torque limiters)
and increased precision in the setting of the above mentioned devices
thanks to the use of small diameter wheels on caterpillars.
Possibility to have slow and fast chains in the same plant: fast chains
for a quick sorting, slow chains for close up treatments.

Possibity of
five different type of buffers:
In line
In line and inclined (at 45°)
Transversally (at 90°)
In line and transversally
In line, inclined and transversally

Power & Free
conveyors are divided in two classes:
Overhead conveyors are supported from the ceiling or the floor by
suspensions. Up-turned conveyors are laid on the floor or buried
and then protected by sheeting.
|
|
|
The conveyor essentially consists of twin tracks along which the chain
and trolleys run respectively.
|
 |
|
- The the overhead
conveyor chain is housed in the upper track and the trolley in
the lower one.
- In the up-turned
conveyors the chain runs along the lower track and trolley in
the upper one.
- It is also
possible to have side-by-side dual track conveyors, in which the
chain track is on the same level as the trolley track.
|
|
The track consists
of two pairs of cold rolled sections with pressed steel straddle
plates welded on them. The track segments -straight or bent- are
connected together with bolts.
The chain has
exclusively a pull function. It is completely bi-planer.
The trolley
sets may be made into various arrangements using single, front,
rear and intermediate trolleys according to the weight and the dimensions
of the loads. They are driven by the chain by means of dogs and
have an engaging and disengaging device from the drive chain in
the stops and in the buffers.
|
|
 |

|
|

|
|
Trolleys can be equipped with 90° rotary dogs or with continuous
rotation dogs.
In environments
with high temperature (ovens and pre-treatments) special devices
are used to automatically compensate tracks, the oven structure
and chain expansions.
|
Every
conveyor has a drive unit
of the chain (caterpillar type), a tension unit to adjust the tension
of the chain by screws (Tension) and eventually automatic lubricators
for chain and trolleys in case the transported products have to undergo
high temperature treatments o pass though aggressive environments.
|
|
|
|
The use of chain-switches
allows to change the speed of the loads, while chain and trolley
switches can route the loads into different lines or gather them
together in the same line loads coming from various lines with the
possibility of changes in speed too.
Trolleys
stop, single or double, are used to stop the loads.
P & F conveyors
can be equipped with drop-sections to move the loads vertically
thus avoiding space problems with ascents and descents.

TEKNISK
HUVUDSPECIFIKATION
|
As to their
operational features, the P & F conveyors have continuos flow and
a maximum speed of 16 m/min.
Higher speed can be reached according to the weight and size of
loads.
The paylaod can reach 6000 daN according to the line features and
the lay-out configuration.
Four types of chain and trolley allow the operation in different
condition:
