PROBLEM:
The realization of a TV tube surface treatment line studying both the process and the machines necessary for automation of the individual operations.
Specifications :
  • space restrictions;
  • simultaneous production of three TV tube models;
  • recognition of the TV tubes by size and panel type and thus the pre-arrangement of different equipment at each workstation;
  • treatment to be carried out on only a determinate part of the TV tube;
  • resistance to corrosive environments;
  • request of high standards of quality.
  

SOLUTION :
The plant uses System 08 conveyors for the loading and unloading lines and for the buffer of empty pallet , while an upturned System E8 conveyor has been used for the process carousel. The process carousel is equipped with special devices that have been especially developed and realized to ensure that all the process stages are completely automatic.

The adopted software permits at the loading point the recognition of the TV tube type and thus determines the various automatic equipment changes in any process stage.
