SECTOR: COMPONENTS
FOR CITY FURNISHING
APPLICATION: painting
PROBLEM:
The realization of a plant for painting of small quantities of metal
parts with different dimensions, as flower-pots, fences, street-lamp
poles
Specifications
:
To determine the dimensions of carriers to optimize the loadings
Parts with a length over 6.5 m that have not to be subjected
to the pre-treatment before painting
To avoid loss of time between batches of different colours
Space restrictions
SOLUTION :
The plant has been realized using two P+F overhead conveyors SYSTEM
2000.The ring for painting of small parts with a max. dimensions of
6500 x 800 mm has trolleys with max. payload of 500 kgs and a cycle
cadence of 5 min. Two couples of painting booths in parallel receive
the pieces by means of a trolley switch so that different batches
can be processed continuously.
Flexibility during the loading and optimizing of the areas have been
obtained through the use of slanting buffers at 45°. Buffers also
into the oven and into the cooling chain. Speed chain of the pre-treatment
and of the painting is 1.5 m/min while the transfer speed is 7.5 m/min.
Both speeds are sinchronized so that the ratio between the speeds
remains constant 1:5, even they are variable.
We have realized a second line partially indipendent using 2 of the
4 painting booths to paint poles considering their dimension and the
small production.
This line can moves forwards and backwards and is present only one
trolley assy with a carrier 13 meters long. A specific software controls
the productive flow .
